Re-pipe patch-out is the single most common job we do in Orlando and across Central Florida. Plumbing and drywall are separate trades, so almost every re-pipe ends with a finished plumbing system and a house full of open walls.
A whole-home re-pipe means running new supply lines to every fixture in the house. To reach those runs the plumber opens the wall or ceiling at each branch — typically behind every sink, toilet, shower, tub, laundry connection and water heater, plus wherever a line changes direction inside a wall cavity.
In a three-bathroom Central Florida house that is normally 15 to 25 openings, ranging from a 6-inch inspection hole to a four-foot ceiling run. Some are cut cleanly. Many are not — they get widened mid-job when a fitting will not clear, so the edges are ragged and the cut crosses a stud or a truss.
Anyone can fill a hole. The reason re-pipe patches usually look obvious is texture. Knockdown in particular is difficult because the spray pattern, the mud consistency and how long you wait before knocking it down all vary house to house — and often room to room in the same house, if the original crew changed.

Re-pipe patch-outs are priced as one job across the whole house, not per hole — which is why a 20-opening scope costs far less than twenty separate patch calls. Standalone single patches start around $150–$300. Every job is quoted in writing after a free on-site walkthrough.
Usually not. Plumbing and drywall are separate trades with separate skills, and most re-pipe quotes explicitly exclude drywall. Some plumbers will rough-patch the holes with compound, but that is not a finished repair — it still needs taping, texture and blending before paint.
For a typical 15–25 opening house, three to five working days. Compound has to cure between coats, so the schedule is driven by drying time rather than labour. We work room by room so the house stays usable throughout.
That is the whole test, and the answer should be no. It depends on backing the patch properly, feathering wide and matching the existing texture by hand. We sample the texture in a hidden area and get your sign-off before working on visible walls.
Both are available. Most customers have us finish to paint-ready and then handle paint themselves or with their painter, but we do interior painting too if you would rather keep it as one job with one point of contact.
No, and you should be wary of anyone who says yes. The lines have to be pressure-tested and signed off before walls close, or a failure means reopening everything. We schedule to start once your plumber confirms the system is complete.
